An old laptop that writes an illustrated visual novel on its own
Hermes (“Iris”) installed on a spare laptop with two targets: RenPy and ComfyUI. It finds ComfyUI, generates images locally with LM Studio, asks for internet access to install RenPy, fixes its script errors and creates its own skills.
Reported result: In about ten minutes, a short complete visual novel with 10 images and transitions.
For a small business: No (creative), but shows it can learn unfamiliar software on its own.

Hermes assistants for French small business owners
An integrator rolls out Hermes for small business owners in France: an engine-cleaning workshop whose agent reads Facebook Messenger leads every 15 min and asks what to reply, a coffee machine reseller who dictates his quotes into his CRM, a beauty distributor who made her Christmas PDF catalogue from photos.
Reported result: About 8,000 scheduled runs.
« Hermes reads the Facebook Messenger leads every 15 min, sums each one up and asks the owner what to reply »

A Swiss web agency automates invoice preparation
Hermes has access to Harvest and ClickUp and to a skill describing how they bill: it checks tasks and time spent, confirms the work was approved, and creates the draft invoice in Harvest with a summary for the client. A human sends it.
Reported result: Draft invoice preparation almost fully automated; support accounts for about 50% of revenue.
For a small business: Yes: very repeatable for agencies and service firms that bill by time spent.

Outbound prospecting with approval in Telegram
Every morning, Telegram shows a queue of accounts already researched and scored by Hermes; the user approves, the agent starts the sequence, tracks replies, updates HubSpot and stops as soon as a prospect replies. (Article-format X post; content quoted on Nous Research’s User Stories page.)
Reported result: Prospecting starts from a queue ready to approve instead of a blank list.
For a small business: Yes: the “agent prepares, human approves” pattern is ideal for a small business.
